Support For People

Hervey Bay offers services to the community by providing assistance and support to the people who live here. These facilities are also extended to the many visitors who become temporary members of the community.

Many community organisations offer information, mediation and counselling while for others this support to people of all ages and in a wide range of circumstances may be practical eg. opportunity shops, aged accommodation.

Community and government agencies work across the community providing support to families and individuals i.e. aged people, men, women, young people and children, indigenous people, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people with a disability and many others.

Community Connect Fraser Coast Inc. is a vibrant regionally based organisation that is committed to excellence in service provision, and from July 2011 Bay Connect comes under the 'umbrella' of the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre which will allow tax deductible gifts or sponsorship.
