Hervey Bay provides diverse opportunities to experience Australian heritage and culture. With a reputation as a genealogy centre, Hervey Bay also houses a wide variety of memorabilia in its historical attractions.

Of particular interest are the Mining museum at Torbanlea, Brooklyn House and the Grand Hotel at Howard and the Hervey Bay Historical Museum in Zephyr Street. Nearby Maryborough City contains many fine examples of Queensland colonial architecture.
The Kanaka Memorial, Dayman Point Memorials, Poulson Cemetry and the new memorial in Freedom Park commemorates our diggers.
