Bay Connect, is a service managed by The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood centre and welcomes locals and tourists to our website. Our new phone number for 2012 - commencing 9/1/2012 is 4128 3400.

We HAVE moved to a new office and training room in Pialba (corner of Hunter and Torquay Rds) in  2012 to take your calls, offer internet and of course take the training referrals.

The Bay Connect web site was built as a community Work for The Dole Project and was first launched in October 2004.  The site was built using the Mambo (CMS) Content Management System and up to June 2010 has received over 640,000 visitors.  To maintain the site it became necessary to upgrade the software to the Joomla CMS and in 2011 again has been updated to the latest Joomla CMS.

GREAT NEWS - Bay Connect was acknowledged with nominations in the Indys 2011 Business Awards- Yes 2 years in row ! Well we made the finals in our category, but missed out on the final outcome.  Well done to all nominees.  We appreciate any one who voted for us in the community section.

WANT MYOB TRAINING ?  WE NOW WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH JILL FROM THE BOOKKEEPING SCHOOL AND HOLDING CLASSES ON A MONTHLY BASIS. Next class with Jill will be on May 10th & 11th. This training can be accredited with further studies after the two day course.- Ring office for further details .

Got a lap top with Vista or Windows 7 and need some help working our the new operating systems.  Bay Connect now offers Windows 7 Training over 10 hours, 2 half days, in all facets of this new systems.  Call the office for futher details- next training date will be 23rd and 24th April, 2012.

U3A also hold card making classes at the office on the 1st saturday of each month - yes even this long weekend - please call Monday to Friday 9 - 1 pm for details  For 2012 the card making classes will also be held on Wednesday from 12.30 pm in the New Community Centre. 

Next class Computer training is office products on 14th May, 2012 from 9 - 3.30 pm daily, with word excel and powerpoint studies held over three weeks - yes we have all those easter dates off and of course Anac day -  as well as on going classes for the Sarina Russo group.
