With approximately 50 restaurants, clubs and many other eating establishments Hervey Bay is a gourmet's delight. Accommodation options are many and varied ranging from backpacker hostels to motels, self contained units, apartments, houses, flats, caravan parks, bed & breakfast establishments and luxury holiday resorts some of which overlook the harbour and beaches. Camping areas are also available. Many of the backpacker hostels meet the incoming buses into Hervey Bay while real estate agents hold listings for private accommodation. Fraser Island offers camping and resort style accommodation.
