Computer & Internet Training

Bay Connect conducts training in  Hervey Bay (at our Bideford Street  office)Image  The training room is comprised of 10 computers that run Windows XP, fully equipped with printer, 5 scanners, and disability access. There is no training available in Maryborough, due to the closure of the training room there. Residents are very welcome in the Hervey Bay Classes.  Training in basic Internet usage has been conducted for 3000 people. Additionally 100 volunteers have undergone advanced training. Vista Training is also available - see below - Bookings for all training can be made by contacting Bayconnect on 4197 4660.

Microsoft Vista  -Covers all aspects of this new operating system - 8 hours over 2x4 hours each day and can include a training manual for future reference. Does NOT include internet studies.

Digital Photography Basic - 8 Hour Basic understanding how a digital camera works, memory storage, taking of digital images, installing software, creating slideshows, screensavers or wallpapers, downloading, storage & printing of images.

Digital Photo Editing Advanced - This concise easy to understand hands-on course explains how to acquir, format and save digital images for use in most software, printing email and internet applications.Learn how to manipulate images, colour adjust, restore damaged photos and create custom artworks.All this using freely available software backed with expert instruction, comprehensive reference resourses and extensive supplementary information.  Version 5.0 now comes with step by step video tutorials on most topics.
