Fraser Coast Council

The Fraser Coast Regional Council is the local government authority that provides public infrastructure, services and programs for the benefit of the residents and visitors of the City.

Council responsibilities within the city boundaries include:

Community and Recreation

Environment and Health

Road infrastructure

Development Services

Economic Development

Wide Bay Water (Business Unit of FCRC)

Wide Bay Waste (Business Unit of FCRC).

Vist the website for the council at www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au for information on the Aquatic Centre, the airport, Regional Art Gallery, waste disposal, animal control (including dog registration), local environmental protection, community development, building permits, sewerage, recycling, after hours emergency services and the Hervey Bay Library.

Ergon Energy manages the supply of electricity to the City.

Work For Dole Exceeds Expectations

Checkout the web sites built for Community groups by Skillcentred Work for the Dole participants, with guidance and training provided by Bay Connect. The projects below have been completed over the last three years in seven seperate Work for the Dole projects.
