YES, we ARE training in 2012
It has been 13 years since Bay Connect was a small idea in a group of community minded people, who thought this idea of the 'internet' could benefit all residents in regional Queensland and Bay Connect was formed. We have now trained over 6000 people in all forms of basic computer, intermediate computer, internet & digital camera studies, most of whom have a centrelink card or benefit. For the past 5 years funding has been extremely difficult to obtain, maintain and keep the 'doors open' and we can announce we finally have a new program to commence in February, 2011 which will be continuing in 2012 in the new training room - office space in Pialba, Yes if you can find the RSL, Sarina Russo or Centrelink you will be able to find us.
We thank Sarina Russo Job Access for thier support. With the program just underway our first not for profit group to get a webpage is the Hervey Bay Square Dancing Club, with ongoing support and training for the group to maintain thier site, so with a big program and this group hosting the 2012 Convention - QCA 32nd Qld State Square Dance Convention in September of next year please look at the site for further information www.squaredancingherveybay.com.au
We also hold many a fundraising raffle or sausage sizzle , so next time you see us with a banner, please support us and buy a raffle ticket or a tasty item from the BBQ. Recently we had some handcrafted toys donated and we ran the raffle in conjunction with Hervey Bay Arts Council's events, many thanks to those who bought tickets or offered items back for 're raffle'. Items wents to local winners as well as Bundy and even down to Tasmania.
We are still seeking additional sponsorship or sources of funding to assist maintain this required program for the Wide Bay Region will be recognized via our website and also our community directory website being www.frasercoastonline.com.au
If you can assist, frasercoastonline currently gets 15,000 - 20,000 hits per week and could provide your business with a great form of advertising. Open frasercoastonline and just see how many people are online, you will be amazed. Adverts commence from as low as $ 49.95 per year - YES PER YEAR - less than that one printed ad - all year coverage.
Sponsorship could be in any of these categories and all and any enquires can be directed to

Major sponsors of this Community program would have links to thier own website from both of our sites, as well as advertising information and signage at the computer training centre at 187 Bideford Street, Torquay, Hervey Bay, our access sites based in community centres and throughout our newsletters and networking programs. Acknowledgements with news items and stories would also reflect your companies contribution.
